Coopers Beach Camp

Last week we went on camp to Coopers Beach. On the way to camp we went to Whangaroa harbour and went fishing off the wharf. I had lots of fun and caught one fish. The next day at camp we walked down to Coopers Beach and went to the rock pools. 
We saw a dead baby shark on the beach. In the rock pools I saw a huge red crab, and an octopus was eating clams and changing colour to camo himself. We made a huge sandcastle turtle.
At camp they had a water slide, which was a really long slide and was so much fun. I liked the swing on the obstacle course.
I had so much fun at camp!

basic Facts

We have been working on answering basic facts questions quickly and instantly. I should be working on Stage 5.

Pet Day

Today is our school Pet Day. WE made vaseline saucers using flower petals. Here is my saucer.

Last Friday we had Greats and Grands day.My mum came along.We did performances and dancing.We had a d morning tea and played games. Here is my poem I wrote for my grandperants.

Science Fair

Yesterday we had our school Science Fair. My investigation was about Volcanoes.

Speech Writing

For the last two weeks we have been working on writing speeches. 

My topic was transformers

We had to present them in front of our class. 

I think I did a good job.

Here is my speech.

Do you know what Transformers are? I do, let me tell you all about them.
Transformers are autobots that can change into other forms like cars and trucks.
They scan a truck to go faster and they shoot the citacons and the transformers hands change into guns and swords.
The citacons scan the jet planes so they can go faster than trucks and cars. Autobots and citacons attack each other and have battles.
Megatron is the leader of the citicons. Optimus Prime is the leader of the autobots. I hope you know now a little bit about transformers.

Art for the Art Auction.

I liked doing Art for the Art Auction. My favourite was the kereru pastel drawing.
I like Art.

Moon Rover

Today we made Moon Rovers.
First we got some green card and a piece of silver material. Then we got sellotape and some long string. Then we put a cup on top of the paper and stuck that and the string to it with sellotape.  We made a tiny hole in the material and put the string through.
Then we dropped the Moon Rover to test it.
